In this role, the Controller will implement and oversee the financial accounting, reporting and compliance activities, operating and capital budget activities, and accounts payable, tax reporting, and external financial statement audits of Novasenta. Maintains complete and accurate accounting and financial reporting records, including audits, as well as ensures the preparation of timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial statements and the establishment & maintenance of compliance with effective accounting controls, policies, and procedures.


  • Develop the execution of effective & timely operating and capital budgeting processes and procedures as well as ensuring the timely preparation of consolidated reporting activities.
  • Timely and proper disbursement of funds to vendors.
  • Process monthly invoices to customers, apply payments, follow up on aged receivables.
  • Implements and oversees the compliance of effective disbursement controls, policies & procedures.
  • Compliance, policy & reporting information for all company financial activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze & assess the impact of financial reporting requirements and the information contained therein to relevant authoritative external bodies as well as internal constituents.
  • Adopt and develop relevant requirements as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and oversee the annual audit of accounting and financial reporting records and financial statements with external auditors as and when in place.
  • Complete quality audits and other special projects and analysis that are relevant to the accounting and financial reporting department. Integration experience is highly preferred.
  • As a direct report to the Chief Executive Officer, other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as determined necessary to support the senior management team, including assisting the company’s financing efforts.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance / Accounting or its equivalent required.
  • Master’s degree in finance or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-12 years’ experience in accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting with increasing amounts of responsibilities required.
  • A broad range knowledge base and understanding of the health care industry is a plus.
  • The position requires an understanding of general accounting principles, exceptional planning abilities, analytical and creative thinking skills along with superior oral & written as well as interpersonal communication abilities.
  • The ability to oversee and coordinate multiple priorities in a very dynamic, fast-paced environment is a must.
  • Excellent decision-making skills relative to dealing with outside contacts a must, and the ability to handle confidential material & information is required.


  • Biotech and/or start-up finance experience
